Training activities on the proper use, identification and conservation of film
Overview

The Training activities on the proper use, identification and conservation of film, organized by the Montenegrin Cinemateque, from 28 February to 4 March 2022, ended with great success.

The training activities, which saw a great and active participation, had the honor of hosting Camille Blot-Wellens, film archivist, researcher, historian and professor at the Universities of Paris 8 and Lausanne, who held the introductory conference and the workshop. Camille's presence was an added value for all participants who had the opportunity to acquire specific skills and knowledge and to put what they learned into practice.

The activities, in addition to promoting the use of film heritage as a means of strengthening education and promoting cultural diversity, provided tools to promote better use of the industrial and cultural potential of film heritage.

Furthermore, the identification, recovery and conservation of historical cinematographic material allowed the participants to better understand and deepen in more detail all the operational phases necessary to protect and preserve the cinematographic cultural heritage, but also to work with tools and machinery useful for scope.
